Portofino

Although the title of my blog indicates that this is just about Evan, I do (believe it or not) have other interests!!!! Photography is obviously a big one for me. For my last photography class we visited a beautiful resort here in Orlando, modeled after a town in Italy, Portofino. It was amazing, and allowed us to practice architecture and landscape shots, portraits, macro images, and the like. Here are just a few of my favorites. This place was absolutely amazing. The smells were probably my favorite. They must have pumped the smell of fresh Italian pizza, pastas and breads through the vents. By the time I left I was STARVING!!!

Here are not-so willing security guards and the manager of the hotel,

trying to kick us out. They actually thought we were professional

photographers, trying to make a profit from our pictures.

Uhhh, yeah. I don't think I could sell these pictures at a flea market for a nickel.

They finally let us go after much debate.

Here is the fountain with a fast shutter speed, capturing each water droplet.

Versus a slow shutter speed, which I think I like better. All the water blurs together.

We had a great time, but now I know I definitely want a telephoto lens. Sorry Paul.....more $$$$ for my expensive hobby!!!!
