A Treat for my Sweet

Easter Egg Hunt: Number One

Evan has three Easter Egg Hunts coming up. Last year, he maybe got one or two eggs at his Easter Egg Hunts. He was mostly trampled by the big kids. So this year, we aren't taking any chances. Meema bought all the supplies for a good old fashioned Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard! So hopefully now he will know what to do when it comes time to search for eggs! He caught on pretty quick and even waited until the end to open them to retrieve his treats!!!

Dying Easter Eggs

Easter takes on a whole new meaning when you look at everything through a child's eyes. Last night we dyed some Easter eggs at Meema's house. Sure, it got a little (or a lot actually) messy, but it was so fun to see Evan's eyes light up at the mere thought of dunking eggs in brightly colored dye!! I just love this time of year and I can't wait to see Drew get excited about Easter when he is Evan's age.

Enough with the Tongue

What's with the toungue always hanging out when I try to take your picture, Evan??

Ahhhhh, thank you.... finally!

The Boy Who Pets Goats

Here is Evan, enjoying the petting zoo area at the zoo. Not sure the goats enjoyed the brushing as much as Evan did. But I am sure he was gentler then some 2 year olds can be! Poor goats. Can't imagine a life being chased around by little kids with brushes.

Crap-O-Dile

Evan says Crap-O-Dile instead of Crocodile. And I pretty much try to find ways I can get him to say it, because it's just too darn cute. So of course I encouraged him to pick the crap-o-dile when choosing a place to sit on the carousel yesterday.

This Just In:

Drew has definitely inherited Daddy's large forehead and I think these pictures prove that. Need I say more? He's got the largest head I have ever seen, and most of it is forehead. I see bangs in his future!!!
In other breaking news, Drew weighs 13 lbs 9 oz and is 25 1/2 inches long. 12 of those inches are pure noggin. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Reticulated Giraffes

Here are a few pictures I took of some Reticulated Giraffes at the Zoo. Would have taken more, but a certain someone, who shall remain nameless, was having a giant sized meltdown a few feet away. Apparently Evan, (oops, I mean a certain someone) doesn't share my love for Giraffes eating carrots just an arm's reach away!

Traditions

Sadly we don't have many family traditions to speak of, yet. But I love traditions and hope to create many in the years to come. One tradition we do have is to get pizza whenever Daddy is out of town. Not much of a tradition, but it's fun nonetheless. Paul doesn't care much for pizza, so we don't get it very often and Evan (usually) LOVES it.. as you can see from the pictures!
