Pretty Darn Proud of Himself

Evan is so proud that he is walking. He often claps after a long stretch of walking from one side of the room to the other. This first picture I took as he was walking across the back porch. He was so proud he could barely stand it. That boy is just filled with joy now that he can walk, for the most part anyway!!!

Walking With Dad

One more walking video. Paul wanted me to make a note that this is not our yard, but our neighbors (note the unruly grass). Paul takes pride in his yard, so I had to mention it!!!

New Stage in Evan's Life Calls for New Blog Look!!

Evan walks all the time now, he is all over the house. Still very wobbly, but walking nonetheless. I just can't seem to catch it on video!!! He likes to walk when he thinks I am not looking. And if he knows I am looking, he likes to come towards me and fall into my arms. I suppose when he sees my hands are full or busy with a camera he gives up and collapses. But here is a snapshot of him walking towards me before collapsing. So precious.

And what do ya think about my new blog look? If I had to look at those dots one more day I was gonna lose my mind. Hope you like it!!

Look Ma, No Hands (for the most part)!!!

We were outside on the porch tonight after bathtime, watching Daddy mow the lawn. Evan isn't scared in the slightest from the noise of the mower. And he was enjoying watching Daddy so much, he forgot to hold on to the railing. And he slowly walked by himself to the middle of the porch, where there was nothing to hold on to. He is getting so big!!!!

Baby Steps

This week has been a big week for Evan. He is learning how to clap and can point at things now. And the biggest thing, he is walking. Not full-out walking, but walking in between Paul and I, and in between furniture. He has been taking a step or two for the last month or so, but now it's 3, 4, or 5 steps in a row. He will be running in no time!!! The pointing is really cute too. Whenever he hears an airplane, he points to the sky, and the same goes with birds. It is adorable.
