We Have Created a (Fist Bumping) Monster

I have done just about everything except stand on my head to get Evan to eat ever since the Registered Dietitian we saw told us that Evan was only getting about 1/4 of the calories he should be (which I since have decided was inaccurate and that maybe it was her way of scaring me). For the last few months we have to literally watch and cheer on every single stinking bite that goes in his mouth! Well the other day I was trying to get Evan to eat as he hadn't had a solid meal in a few days. So instead of giving him a High Five after a bite, I gave him a Fist Bump followed by an explosion of the hand gesture accompanied by an exploding noise (I think I saw that on the Office or something...not sure). Anyway, it's all he wants. He sits nicely to let me put on his shoes, fist bump, he cleans up his toys, fist bump, he lets me change his diaper without a fight, fist bump. I am sure one of these days when I pick him up from school, the teacher is going to say, What on Earth is a fist bump and I am going to just pretend like I don't have a clue what she is saying. We are so ghetto. And the sad part is, because it did make him eat a good dinner one night, if I had to do it over again, I probably would do it just the same.
