Oh No!

Someone recently brought it to my attention that Drew and Evan aren't looking so much alike anymore. At first, I was like, "what, they are clearly twins!" But I just realized, Drew looks a little like me, instead of Mini-Paul, AKA, Evan. Here is a picture of me as a baby. Same turned up nose and big cheeks. I was sort of hoping both boys would look like Paul, who just happens to be the most handsome guy in the world. Oh well, sorry Drew. Hopefully it's just a phase?!!

Orange and Blue

Orange and Blue, a combination I have been fond of for quite some time (go gators). But these pictures bring my fondness to a whole new level. Lovin his big blue eyes.

TIME OUT

Time out stinks ---- love Evan

Brothers

Same ole hand-me-down cloths and bouncy seat...
same mannerisms and disposition....

but becoming quite the individual.

And almost developing his own little look,
though equally as cute as his big brother Evan.

Of which is in the bottom three pictures, where Drew is in the top two.

I think they are starting to look a little different, and maybe Drew a little like my side of the family, dare I say?

What is Cuter?

What is cuter than...
two brothers who love each other..
wearing matching jammies...

cuddling on Christmas morning?

NOTHING!!!

The Loot

In addition to the presents he got from the Starstroms listed below, Evan wracked up some loot from Santa, Mom and Dad, Ugbie and Meema (he still has yet to celebrate with Papa and Nana...which will be next week). He got a kitchen, a table and chairs set for his room, a fireman/policeman wooden house with furniture (AKA a doll house for boys, but don't tell Dad), a Buzz and Woody doll, a firetruck, lots of Planet Earth animals, Walkie Talkies, and cars and trucks galore. He also got some big boy underwear in his stocking, Santa must have known it's time to start potty training, but Evan would prefer to wear them on his head!!!

What a lucky boy Evan is, and how fun it was to watch his face light up when he saw all of his presents!

I'm Shy... Nice Try

Evan is so used to hearing me say, "he's shy" when we first step into an unfamiliar social situation, and finally he picked up on what it means. When he had a crowd watching him open presents the other day, he turned to me and said "I'm Shy". Yesterday at church when I asked him to share some stickers with his friend, he said, "I'm shy, Mommy do it". It was truly adorable. He would tip his head down and stick out his bottom lip (kinda like the picture above), and give me a super shy look. But then today when I asked him to clean up his toys, he looked at me and gave me the same look and said, "I'm shy". So either, he doesn't understand what shy means, or he knows exactly what he is saying and he is just trying to get out of cleaning up?!! I am thinking the latter.

New and Improved

Check out these pictures my brother took the other day. I was super excited about the original versions that I posted earlier, but he is an expert editor on Adobe Photoshop Elements and I love these versions even more! Drew's eyes are amazing, I could stare at them all day. The only problem in real life is they are closed most of the time!

Dinner with Family

Last night we enjoyed a family dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Starstrom, Aunt Gina and Uncle Jeff, and cousins Michael and Ryan. They are in town on their way to a Christmas cruise to Key West. They escaped the frigid temperatures of New York!!! We spent the day with them yesterday, and last night took the whole crew to Stonewood Grill. I was a little nervous because Evan isn't good at restaurants, and he proved me right. He was pretty terrible. Until Aunt Gina broke out her IPod Touch, Evan was mesmerized. Of course he had a break down when he had to give it back to her. But this morning all he talks about is Gigi and her ribbit (Aunt Gina and the frog that he saw on her Ipod Touch, of course!). Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Starstrom for a wonderful dinner!!

Thank You!!

Evan wants to thank his Aunt Gina, Uncle Jeff, and Cousins Michael and Ryan for the awesome toys they brought him for Christmas yesterday!!! They sure know the way to a little boys heart, choo choo trains, remote control trucks, books and a cool college t-shirt to be just like his big cousin Michael!!! He has been playing with these toys ever since, and insists on wearing the shirt Michael gave him at all times!!! Thank you!!! So next year I think he wants an Ipod Touch, so you're on that, right Gina?!!!! Kidding!! Now I officially have the most spoiled little boy in the entire world!!!

Happy Birthday Big Evan

On Sunday we celebrated Evan's buddy, Evan's 3rd Birthday! It was pirate themed, but fit for a king. There was a pirate bounce house, a treasure hunt, make your telescope crafts, lots of pirate grub and homemade pirate cupcakes. We had a blast. What a special friend Big Evan is, so smart and so sweet. Happy Birthday Big Evan!!
