Christmas in October?

Well of course!!! Gotta get ready for Christmas cards, so we took some pictures of Evan in his Christmas outfits!!! I figured it might be easier to take them now, since he still isn't walking great. I have a feeling once he is walking, he is just going to be a blur across my viewfinder. I only took like 180 pictures, and really only liked about 10. Not a very good ratio, but completely worth it. Hope you enjoy!!!

P.S. How do I know when the photo shoot is over? Check out the first picture, Evan lets me know!

Baby Steps

This week has been a big week for Evan. He is learning how to clap and can point at things now. And the biggest thing, he is walking. Not full-out walking, but walking in between Paul and I, and in between furniture. He has been taking a step or two for the last month or so, but now it's 3, 4, or 5 steps in a row. He will be running in no time!!! The pointing is really cute too. Whenever he hears an airplane, he points to the sky, and the same goes with birds. It is adorable.

Green Meadow's Petting Zoo Continued

Today at the Petting Zoo, we enjoyed a hay ride, a train ride, the pumpkin patch, and petting lots of animals. We learned alot too, such as pigs are the smartest farm animal and turkies are the dumbest. Llamas can spit up to 18 feet, so we heard, but luckily didn't experience first hand. You can fit 30 chicken eggs inside one ostrich egg. Goats don't really eat everything in sight, when they nibble on you, they are just tasting you to see what you are all about!! And finally, animals poop alot.... ALOT!!!

Our Favorite Animals at Green Meadows Petting Zoo

Today we visited the petting zoo with Grammy, and saw tons of animals. Our favorites: Ostriches, Llamas, Goats, and Baby Ducks that were only four days old!!! Also really cool, (but not as photogenic) were the pigs, miniature horses and sheep.

We had a great time with the animals. Evan played with the goats the most, he even let them nibble on his hand and his overalls, and didn't get scared at all. He really enjoyed the big animals, but could have done without the noisy geese and the small chicks. All in all, we had a great day, and I only went through a half a bottle of Purell!!!

You're so embarassing

Yesterday was the first day that I think I actually embarrassed Evan. Can a 1 year old get embarrassed? Well if so, Evan was. His favorite CD is a Disney CD that Grammy got him. So we were driving to a playgroup and I had the CD playing. I usually sing along, and a Mary Poppins song came out, I don't want to spell it all out but the Supercalifrag..... one. I was singing as usual in my English accent. I don't usually look back too often when I am driving (as a safety precaution), but I just happened to look back through the rear-view mirror at Evan, and he had the most embarrassed look on his face. He was staring at me, with one eye brow raised and looked like he smelled something awful. I am pretty sure he was embarrassed of my singing and my horrible accent. Because when I stopped, he started smiling and dancing to the music again. It may be the first time, but it certainly isn't the last time I embarrass him!!!!

Daddy and Me

We spent the day today with Grandma and Grandpa Starstrom in Celebration, FL. We went to a Farmer's Market, played in the fountain, saw alligators, went to cute little boutiques, and ate in a fantastic little tavern. I only got one cute picture at the restaurant of Daddy and Evan. He was a perfect angel today, as long as I kept the organic white cheddar cheetos flowing!!!!

Playing with Grandpa Starstrom

Here are a couple of pictures of Evan looking at Grandpa, while Grandpa is making funny noises with his mouth. You may wonder why Grandpa isn't pictured. Well Grandpa was clear across the room and no one wants to see pictures of just Grandpa when they can see pictures of Evan and his wide blue eyes watching in amazement (no offense Grandpa)!!!

Adventures at Aquatica

One of our friends has season passes to Sea World and Aquatica and offered to let us use one of the passes today. We went with three Moms and their babies and had a great time. We went down the baby slides, swam in the wave pool, played in the sand and floated down the lazy river. It doesn't get much better than that. What a great life we have!!! Spending time with Evan and friends out in the sun, what a day!!! Here are a couple pictures of Evan playing in the sand, and fussing in his life jacket. It took him a minute to get used to the water and life jacket, but he warmed right up and had a blast
