The Boy Who Pets Goats

Here is Evan, enjoying the petting zoo area at the zoo. Not sure the goats enjoyed the brushing as much as Evan did. But I am sure he was gentler then some 2 year olds can be! Poor goats. Can't imagine a life being chased around by little kids with brushes.

Things I Learned From the Carousel at the ZOO

People may look at you funny when taking pictures of yourself in the mirror on the carousel.

It's really hard to get a good picture on the carousel. It goes around way too fast.

And it's kinda hard to predict when they are gonna be coming around again, so it's easy to end up taking pictures of their back.

Often times the pole on the horse, obstructs the subject's face.

Finally, auto focus is too slow, and I am not fast enough to manually focus, so 97% of my pictures are BLURRY!!

Green Meadow's Petting Zoo Continued

Today at the Petting Zoo, we enjoyed a hay ride, a train ride, the pumpkin patch, and petting lots of animals. We learned alot too, such as pigs are the smartest farm animal and turkies are the dumbest. Llamas can spit up to 18 feet, so we heard, but luckily didn't experience first hand. You can fit 30 chicken eggs inside one ostrich egg. Goats don't really eat everything in sight, when they nibble on you, they are just tasting you to see what you are all about!! And finally, animals poop alot.... ALOT!!!

Our Favorite Animals at Green Meadows Petting Zoo

Today we visited the petting zoo with Grammy, and saw tons of animals. Our favorites: Ostriches, Llamas, Goats, and Baby Ducks that were only four days old!!! Also really cool, (but not as photogenic) were the pigs, miniature horses and sheep.

We had a great time with the animals. Evan played with the goats the most, he even let them nibble on his hand and his overalls, and didn't get scared at all. He really enjoyed the big animals, but could have done without the noisy geese and the small chicks. All in all, we had a great day, and I only went through a half a bottle of Purell!!!
