Christmas Playdate

Ok, said I said I was a bit behind in my pictures and that was no lie. This playdate was 3 weeks ago!  As all playdates Jennifer throws, it was adorable! Lots of activities and delicious food, and the kids played beautifully.  I mean, just look at all the unprompted hugs, which mostly involve Claire of course!  Sooo sweet.

Formal Affair

My boys are always clean, hair perfectly combed and they like to lie and play around in their finest duds, at all times.  Neck ties and all!!!

Little Fishes Christmas Pageant

Most of these pics are pretty terrible. I had to take them from about 50 or so feet away, and the lighting was awful.  Apparently kids ages 2-5 have short attention spans?!! so Miss Marshall thought getting too close with cameras would distract the children?  Hmmm.... Evan's attention span is at least 10 seconds, and he is very hard to distract (cough cough), so I am not sure who she is speaking of!!!  Anyway, the kids sang about 7 songs.  Drew was barely visible, so I think I only got one picture of him with his buddy Thomas.  And he specialized in looking cute as opposed to actually singing, but it was fun and a proud moment for Paul and I!

Green Machine

Suppose I can no longer get by with saying that Drew isn't fond of sweets, huh??!!!  Here he is his buddy, Yasmine's 5th birthday party at the Science center!!!

Baking with Meema, Nana, Ugbie and Melly

I just love these little aprons our friend Jennifer gave us!  They are perfect for baking Christmas cookies!  We had a baking session with Meema, Nana, Ugbie and Melly this Christmas, but I don't think I got any decent pictures of anyone but these two cuties.  The rest came out super orange tinged.  But anyway, love these little chefs and their adorable aprons!

New Years Eve

Saturday night we got a babysitter and went out for New Years Eve with old friends in town from Charlotte, NC.  This was a major improvement from last year's festivities, when we all had the stomach flu and I was up all night with Evan while he threw up in his sleep.  Yikes!  We went to Le Rouge for dinner and then we went to Ice Bar.  It's a bar where half the place is 27 degrees and made out of ice; the bar, seats, glasses... it's freaking chilly!  You are only allowed in that area for 45 minutes at a time, but I think we lasted 20!  The rest of the bar is a normal temperature.  It was super fun!  And of course after our LATE night, Evan was up at him normal 6:30 am *groan*.....

Potty Like a Rock Star

I just had to post some pictures of E on his throne.  He sits so far down in the toilet.  Our water level in the potty is pretty low, but when he visits people with older houses, their levels are usually higher, and his butt hits the water.  And he will make sure to tell them, their water level is higher then his potty at home.  So if you are curious how your water measures up to ours, Evan can evaluate it for you... with his adorable little hiney. Thank goodness he has his pooping routine down and he usually poops at home. I can just see him at Walmart pooping like this....bleck.  He doesn't hold back, he grabs the sides and eases his butt right on in.  Germs? What are those?

This hat is hideous, but somehow I love it more than any hat ever in the history of hats.  To think it was on clearance at Target?  Crazy.

I am so behind on editing all of my Christmas photos.  I can no longer download, edit in two seconds and post 10 minutes later.  Perhaps it's because I have the real photoshop now and I am shooting in raw, or because I am learning more and more and it takes freaking forever, or perhaps it's my sweet boys that are hogging all my time?  I totally wouldn't have it any other way though. I would much rather be reading to Drew or snuggling with Evan on the couch playing Lego Wii Batman then clicking away on my mouse.  But it also means my blog is struggling and I am still editing pictures from late November/early December.  So please be patient.  And here are a few pictures of E in his super sweet hat to tie you over!  Merry Christmas!
