Orlando Science Center

Here Drew is being cute. And patient while Evan played. He isn't the most patient of babies, so it was a really nice change of pace.

Evan flying the rocket ship. He REALLY looks like a mini-Paul here. I don't always see the resemblance as much as everyone else, but here I definitely do.

Evan riding in the stationary airplane. Boring. I suppose after you have been to Disney, this kind of airplane just won't cut it!

More airplanes...

Here is Evan, poking his head into a frog tank. There was a tunnel underneath the tank where kids could crawl and pop their head up into the tank. Didn't manage to get any frogs in the picture, but in my defense I only had a brief second to snap the shot before Evan lost interest.

Playing with sail boats on wheels and fans. Evan didn't grasp that the fan would push the boat along, he felt compelled to push it with all of his might.

Fishing for puzzle pieces. Evan LOVES puzzles, so this exhibit was a big hit. You
use a tennis ball for bait, and then your Mom puts a puzzle piece fish with Velcro on the ball, you reel it up and put it in the puzzle. Evan could have sat here for hours!!

To me, Evan's gesture looks like such a typical little boy. I could eat him up right here!

Racing cars down a roller coaster, supposedly this teaches kids about gravity. But Evan took away something else from this exhibit. That race cars are pretty much awesome.

"Eeeew, sand. Towel Mommy, Hands Dirty."

Daddy and Evan checking out the "Nemo" exhibit, AKA clown fish and sting rays.
Playing at the water table. You know, kind of like the water table he has at home and hasn't played with in a year or so!

Today we got up early and went straight to the Orlando Science Center for a morning of educational fun!!! It was really hard to get good pictures because so much of the place was packed and pitch black. But we had a really nice time. We will definitely be back.

Drew is so proud of himself these days. He is now rolling over, from tummy to back. He likes doing it so much, he practices alot. All night, alot. And all naptime, alot.

Evan's School Picture

This is the only picture of the four pictures they took of him at school where he isn't crying. He is of course on the verge of tears, but not crying, nonetheless.

Fort Making Fools

We Starstrom's love our Forts!!! With all of the rain we have had in the last two days, you better believe we have been making some big time forts. Even Corky and Drew got in on the action the other day. I honestly don't mind when it rains, because activities like this are so much fun.

We Have Created a (Fist Bumping) Monster

I have done just about everything except stand on my head to get Evan to eat ever since the Registered Dietitian we saw told us that Evan was only getting about 1/4 of the calories he should be (which I since have decided was inaccurate and that maybe it was her way of scaring me). For the last few months we have to literally watch and cheer on every single stinking bite that goes in his mouth! Well the other day I was trying to get Evan to eat as he hadn't had a solid meal in a few days. So instead of giving him a High Five after a bite, I gave him a Fist Bump followed by an explosion of the hand gesture accompanied by an exploding noise (I think I saw that on the Office or something...not sure). Anyway, it's all he wants. He sits nicely to let me put on his shoes, fist bump, he cleans up his toys, fist bump, he lets me change his diaper without a fight, fist bump. I am sure one of these days when I pick him up from school, the teacher is going to say, What on Earth is a fist bump and I am going to just pretend like I don't have a clue what she is saying. We are so ghetto. And the sad part is, because it did make him eat a good dinner one night, if I had to do it over again, I probably would do it just the same.

Spring Digs

I am excited to pull out all of the adorable Spring clothes that Drew has!!! I am loving him in this one!!!

Just Exactly Where has my Baby Evan Gone?

I just realized something, my baby Evan isn't a baby anymore. And this picture is proof! Good thing I have Drew to snuggle with, because Evan is a busy boy who doesn't have time for such things!

Here are a few pictures of Drew's new buddies from his new playgroup the Tater Tots and a few babes from the older group, the Polliwogs! We are in a playgroup that is divided up into age groups. Evan is in the Little Cuties, Drew is in the Tater Tots. But the Tater Tots group is so small right now because some of the babies in it aren't even born yet (it's for babies born Sept. 2009 to Sept. 2010) so we are meeting with the group of babies one year older for the time being, the Polliwogs. Probably more information then you ever wanted to know about our playgroup!!!

Today we hosted the playgroup at our home on a day where Evan was out of school. So the older siblings came along too to play with Evan. Fun was had by all. Evan cried for 30 minutes when everyone left, because he missed his "fwends".

More Bday Parties

Baby Kevin with Mama, Christina

Evan's Number One buddy, James

Birthday girl, Gracie

Daddy and Drew

On Sunday we went to another birthday party at My Gym, for Evan's friend Grace who turned 2!! It was a princess theme, but oddly enough, Grace was the only little girl there! She was surrounded by about 15 little boys!! She is a cutie though, I wish I would have gotten more pictures of her, but she didn't sit still long enough. Neither did Evan. On Saturday for Bowen's BDay party, Evan was very shy and didn't want to do many of the activities without Daddy or me by his side. But on Sunday, he was a regular ham. During circle time, we went around the circle and said our name (something that would put him in tears in the past). Instead, after saying his name, he went into the middle of the circle, pretended he was a lion, roared and then pretended he was having a sneezing attack. Then he promptly went back to his seat and sat and watched the other children introduce themselves. He actually wanted to be the center of attention, I was so surprised!!! It was a little random, but cool nonetheless.
